- University of Michigan was added sometime around 2010 and pattern number 9305.
- It was produced on Sunflower and can be found in the following pieces: bread tray (0412), classic rim luncheon plate (0465), classic rim chop plate (0467), medium oval platter (0457), jumbo mug (0149), and small disc pitcher (0485).
- There is a possibility that Sunflower classic rim dinner plates (0466) and large oval platters (0458) were produced as well. We just haven’t been able to get concrete verification yet.
- Thank you to Nick Soto for the use of his photo.
- For the University of Michigan collection only one of the logos was used. However, two different logos and three different glazes were tested. (see below)
- Like Notre Dame they preferred to keep their own inventory and did not do online sales through Touchdown Tableware.
- From my research, it appears that White was the first option for the University of Michigan’s collection. It’s original project number is H-15761.
- It was tested / sampled on a classic rim dinner plate (0466), classic rim chop plate (0467), jumbo mug (0149) and bread tray (0412). All these are illustrated above.
- Thank you to Patricia Antion for the use of her photos.
- The second color to be tested / sampled appears to have been Sunflower. It’s project number is H-15761-1.
- This glaze color was chosen to be used by the university.
- The third color to be tested / sampled was Cobalt using two different logos as illustrated above.
- The center photo with “Michigan” laid over the “M” would have been the third version. It’s project number is H-15761-2. It was tested / sampled in the following pieces: small disc pitcher (0485), classic rim dinner plate (0466), classic rim chop plate (0467) and jumbo mug (0149).
- The left and right photos with just the “M” logo was the fourth version. It’s project number is H-15761-3.
- It was tested / sampled in the following pieces: bread tray (0412), classic rim dinner plate (0466), small disc pitcher (0485), classic rim chop plate (0467) and jumbo mug (0149).
- Thank you to Patricia Antion for the use of her photos.
