75th Anniversary Items
- In 2011 the Homer Laughlin China Company celebrated their 75th anniversary of producing Fiesta®.
- However, HLC started the celebration early by announcing at the International Home and Houseware Show in Chicago, IL that the anniversary color would be Marigold and they would be producing a special anniversary piece each year beginning in 2008 through 2011.
- These special pieces would only be produced for 75 weeks.
- HLC produced several other items to celebrate the occasion as illustrated below.
Marigold – 3 Piece Baking Bowl Set

- This set was introduced March 2008, at the International Home and Houseware Show in Chicago, IL and advertised that the set would be available to purchase April 1, 2008.
- Note on the display case that the special 75th anniversary backstamp was displayed.
- The below illustration is the tile that is located in the bottom left-hand corner of the display case showcasing the 75th anniversary backstamp.
- This 3-piece set consisted of the following pieces: large baking bowl (0973) medium baking bowl (0972) and small baking bowl (0971).

Marigold – 19-1/4″ Oval Platter

- The 75th anniversary backstamp was applied to the back of both bowls.

Marigold – Loaf Pan

- The 2010 HLC Salary Employee Christmas item was a Marigold loaf pan with the 75th anniversary backstamp as shown in the illustration to the left. Overages with the backstamp were sold at the Factory retail outlet in Newell, WV.
- Regular production Marigold loaf pans will not have the 75th anniversary backstamp. However, overruns of the salary employee pans were sold through HLC’s retail outlet store.

Marigold – Soup Tureen

- This set was available to purchase April 1, 2011.
- The soup tureen was only produced in Marigold.
- The 75th anniversary backstamp was applied to the base of the bowl and underplate.
- This set consisted of the following pieces: lid (1409), base plate (1410), tureen (1408) and ladle (1415).

75th Anniversary Mini Disc Pitchers

- On March 31, 2011, limited edition mini disc pitchers were offered for sale during the West Virginia Division of Culture and History gala. And later at the West Virginia State Museum shop (Tamarack) in Beckly WV.
- At the gala the current First Lady of West Virginia and the museum were presented with a large commemorative disc pitcher showcasing the 75th anniversary design.
- The following colors were produced: Sunflower, Tangerine, Marigold, and Paprika.
- They had the 75th anniversary backstamp on the base of the pitcher.
- Other colors are known to exist, but were not put into production, Persimmon, Turquoise, Shamrock, Scarlet, Cobalt Blue and Peacock.

75th Anniversary Embossed Ornaments

- The 75th Anniversary Embossed Ornaments did not have a backstamp on them.
- These were produced in the following colors: Black, Cobalt Blue, Ivory, Lemongrass, Marigold, Paprika, Peacock, Plum, Scarlet, Sunflower, Tangerine and Turquoise.
- Three colors were limited in quantity, Ivory, Plum and Black. The “Rainbow Pack” which was sold to retailers consisted of 23-Marigold, 4-Scarlet, 3 – Sunflower, 3-Lemongrass, 3-Cobalt Blue, 3-Peacock, 2-Tangerine, 2-Turquoise and 2-Paparika plus 1 of each of the “Bonus Colors” Ivory, Plum and Black.
- Retailers were could not order Ivory, Plum and Black ornaments individually, like the other colors.

- This pin was sold through the factory retail outlet stores.
- This design was applied to blank Fiesta® ornaments that had the hanger portion of the ornament removed. Then a broch style pin was glued to the back.

75th Anniversary Glassware – HLCCA
- The Homer Laughlin China Collectors Association (HLCCA) 2011 conference banquet featured the 75th anniversary logo on glassware. Each attendee received a glass.
- On the reverse side of the glass was the HLCCA logo.

75th Anniversary Commemorative US Post Card (above)
- Even the local post office in Newell, WV got into the celebration.
- On June 25, 2011, they applied the Fiesta® 75th Anniversary logo as the postmark on these postal cards. They added the word “Station” to the logo as you can see in the above right illustration.
