Betty Crocker™ Fiesta® Origins

Fiesta® Origins – Pattern Numbers – numerous (see below)

  • Introduced in 2004
  • Discontinued in 2006
  • This pattern was applied to multiple glazes (as stated below) and can be found on the following shape:  mini pitcher (0475)
  • Betty Crocker® introduced the first four colors of the mini pitchers in the Fall 2004 sale catalog. Gold lettering marked the color’s name and introduction date on one side, while the reverse had a gold dancing lady. (see below photos)
  • Thank you to Dana Heath-Thomas for the use of her photos for this pattern.
  • The four colors that were introduced in 2004 were: Sunflower, Cobalt, Persimmon, and Seamist (pattern number 5308).
  • You could purchase them as a set of four or individually as illustrated in the ad to the left.
  • The next set to be released appeared in the Fall 2005 Betty Crocker™ sale catalog.
  • They were: Shamrock, Plum, Black, and Scarlet.
  • These were also offered for sale as a set of four or individually as illustrated in the ad to the right.

NOTE:  Plum was officially released for sale in January of 2002. However HLC took orders from retailers in 2001. HLC starts counting from when they start shipping, not when it is available to the general public. Hence the discrepancy between the 2001 and 2002 release date. Plum is the only color that has this date discrepancy.

    • The final set to be released appeared in the Spring 2006 Betty Crocker™ sale catalog.
    • They were: Periwinkle, and Rose.
    • The illustration to the right and left show a Sea Mist mini pitcher, but that is in error.  There were only two mini pitchers released in 2006.

Fun Fact –

  • Mistakes happen, even at the factory.  There have been a few people who have found the date decal applied to the left side of the mini pitcher instead of the right as intended.
  • This makes for a fun oddity piece, but sure does mess up your display if you don’t have the correct one.  🙂
