Betty Crocker – Ladybug

Ladybug – Pattern Number (see below)

  • These two designs were introduced in 2005 and were exclusively designed for Betty Crocker / General Mills.
  • It was only in production for about one to two years as Betty Crocker closed their retails sales catalog and website in 2006.

Pattern Number: 5487 (?) still researching

  • Design number one is illustrated to the left.  
  • It was produced on Scarlet and can be found in the following shapes: 15″ pizza/baking tray, (0505), classic rim dinner plate (0466), classic rim luncheon plate (0465), classic rim chop plate (0467), 14 oz small cereal bowl (0460), 19 oz medium cereal bowl (0461), and large disc pitcher (0484)

Pattern Number:  researching

  • Design number two is illustrated to the right.
  • It was produced on Scarlet and can be found in the following shapes: classic rim 1 quart bowl (0471), tumbler (0446), bread tray (0412), monarch vase (0566) and mug (0453).
  • Betty Crocker also offered a four piece place setting. 
  • In 2005 when this set was introduced it consisted of the following shapes: classic rim dinner and luncheon plate, small 14 oz cereal bowl and mug.
  • In 2006 they changed out the 14 oz small cereal bowl to the 19 oz medium cereal bowl.  
  • The illustrations to either side are from the Betty Crocker Fall 2005 catalog showcasing the Ladybug collection.

Fun Fact –

  • Accidents happen even at the factory.  The Ladybug decal was mistakenly applied to Sunflower instead of Scarlet mugs as illustrated to the right.

JC Penney's - Ladybug

Ladybug – Pattern No. (see Betty Crocker above)

  • After Betty Crocker™ closed their retails sales catalog and website in 2006, JC Penney’s carried the same identical pattern in 2007.
  • They only offered the 4 piece place setting which consisted of the following pieces: classic rim dinner plate (0466), classic rim salad plate (0464), 19 oz. medium bowl (0461), and mug (0453) as illustrated to the left.

FTCCO – Ladybug

Ladybug – Pattern No.   researching

  • In 2024 the Fiesta® Tableware Company Collectors Organization brought back the Betty Crocker™ Ladybug pattern with one minor change.  The eyes on the ladybug are not white.  
  • In the initial release of this pattern the following shapes were produced:  shot glass (1534), jam jar / mini canister (0969), coaster (1607), mini disc pitcher (0475), and bistro coupe appetizer plate (1461).
  • In 2025 the following shape was added to the lineup: small heart bowl (0747).
  • In 2026 the following shape was added to the line up: mini bowl (1550).

Ladybug Utensil Tool Crock – Pattern No. researching

  • At the 2024 FTCCO annual conference a “Mystery Box” was offered at auction.  The final bid for this box which contained a one-of-a-kind utensil tool crock (0447) decorated with the Ladybug design sold for $4000.00.

Ladybug Prototype Oval Platter – Pattern No. researching

  • In August 2025, FTC donated to FTCCO 46 prototype oval platters that had never been put into production.  These platters measured 8-3/4″ x 7-1/4″.
  • They (FTC) decorated these platters with the FTCCO Ladybug design.  
  • The platters were auctioned off by the FTCCO, and the proceeds went to benefit the Newell Lions Club.
