  • The original production number for the pyramids was 0764. It was later changed to 0489.
  • Sapphire pyramids are known to exist as illustrated to the left.

  • 1000 – Lilac pyramids were made by HLC as an exclusive to Bloomingdale’s for their “Fiesta Retrospective” event held at the 59th Street store in Manhattan, NY in 1995.
  • It is rumored that less than 50 sets of Shamrock pyramids were produced.
  • You will notice that Evergreen did not make it into the lineup for production. I have my thoughts on why this happened, but it has not been verified. When HLC changed over from unnumbered to numbered sets in 2008, they skipped Evergreen and produced the newest color (Ivory) with their new limited number sets.

  • With the introduction of Pearl Gray (1999), to help with identifying Post 86 pieces from similar Vintage Fiesta® items, HLC added an embossed “H” as part of the backstamp to certain items. Colors released prior to Pearl Gray (1999) may or may not have the embossed “H” as part of the backstamp. (These would only be the colors that were in production at the time Pearl Gray was introduced.)
  • The illustration to the left shows two Rose pyramids.
  • The Rose pyramid on the left was produced prior to Pearl Gray and does not have the embossed “H”.
  • The Rose pyramid on the right was produced after the introduction of Pearl Gray and has the embossed “H”.
  • Each year, since 1995, the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association (ELHSAA) holds an auction in June which “lends support to the Alumni Association/Education & Scholarship Fund”. The Homer Laughlin China Company (1995-present), The Hall China Company (1995-present), W.C. Bunting Co. (1999-present) and the W.C. Bunting Co./Commercial Decal of Ohio, Inc. companies (2016-2017), all support the organization by donating 12 or 24 limited edition pieces for ELHSAA to auction off. Below is a list of the quantity and colors that were donated in this specific piece.

24 – Scarlet pyramid sets were donated in June 2005. Unnumbered sets are known to exist.

  • HLC has continued to produce the pyramids as noted below. Starting in 2008 HLC started numbering the pyramids in gold on the base of the holder. As shown in the illustration to the right, the sets come in boxes with the number of the set noted on the outside of the box.
