- They were sold as an exclusive to Bloomingdale’s. Bloomingdale’s advertised that there would only be 1000 of each of the ten colors produced. However, seconds were sold at HLC’s retail outlet store, so there were many more than the advertised 1000 sold to the public.
- Each year, since 1995, the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association (ELHSAA) holds an auction in June which “lends support to the Alumni Association/Education & Scholarship Fund”. The Homer Laughlin China Company (1995-present), The Hall China Company (1995-present), W.C. Bunting Co. (1999-present) and the W.C. Bunting Co./Commercial Decal of Ohio, Inc. companies (2016-2017), all support the organization by donating 12 or 24 limited edition pieces for ELHSAA to auction off. Below is a list of the quantity and colors that were donated in this specific piece.
24 – Black Millennium I vases were donated in 1999.
24 – Tangerine Millennium I vases were donated in June 2004. (shown in the main photo above)

- The alumni pieces are marked with a special backstamp. Illustrations to the left and right are the backstamps for the Lapis and Tangerine vases.
- Notice, for some reason, HLC used a different backstamp on the Lapis than the Tangerine vase.
- The Tangerine version is what HLC normally will use on the alumni pieces that they donate.
- During the HLCCA 2024 conference, there were Poppy Millennium I vases as a give away on the tables (one per table). There were about 48 of these vases produced for the conference.
