- With the introduction of Pearl Gray (1999), to help with identifying Post 86 pieces from similar Vintage Fiesta® items, HLC added an embossed “H” as part of the backstamp to certain items.
- Colors released prior to Pearl Gray (1999) may or may not have the embossed “H” as part of the backstamp. (These would only be the colors that were in production at the time Pearl Gray was introduced.)
- In the illustration to the right, the Rose bud vase on the left was produced prior to Pearl Gray and does not have the embossed “H”. The Rose bud vase on the right was produced after the introduction of Pearl Gray and has the embossed “H”.
- Two Crystalline glazed bud vases, one blue and one brown were donated to the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association (ELHSAA) for their June 17, 2001 auction. According to the Certificate of Authenticity that was issued for each piece, these donated pieces were the “remaining pieces from the glaze experiments that were conducted in the Homer Laughlin laboratory in early 2001”.
- The illustration to the left shows a Blue Crystalline bud vase. This vase sold at Strawser Auctions in March 2018 for $1,100.00.
- The below illustration shows the different backstamps for Vintage (two shown on the left) and Post 86 (two shown on the right) bud vases.
- The Vintage backstamp changed as shown.
- When Post 86 vases were reintroduced, the same backstamp was used as the second from the left vase.
- Then in 1999, the embossed “H” was added.
