Round Serving Tray - No longer in production
Produced in the following colors – White, Black, Rose, Apricot, Cobalt Blue, Yellow, Turquoise, Periwinkle Blue, Sea Mist Green, Lilac, Persimmon, Sapphire, Chartreuse, Pearl Gray, Juniper, Cinnabar, Sunflower
It was NOT produced in the following colors – Plum and all colors produced after Plum.
- Lilac trays were made exclusively for the Fiesta® Club of America (FCOA) organization with their logo decorated on the tray. However, trays without the FCOA decoration are known to exist.
- Sapphire trays were sold through HLC’s retail outlet. There are also some Sapphire trays with the FCOA logo.
- When the round serving tray was first introduced it was called a “Handled Cake Plate”. However, the shape sheets from 1992 onwards show it as a “Round Serving Tray”.
- The illustration to the left illustrates two of the three versions of the round serving tray. The tray on the right, is the original version. The first version is heavy and does not have a ring around the outer edge of the tray.
- Version three on the left, was redesigned in 1997. HLC added an outer ring that ran around the rim of the tray.
- The illustration to the right shows version two (left) was redesigned in late 1995. The foot was reduced in size, the sides were less pronounced, and the weight was much lighter . Version 1 (right)
- Early versions will have an incised backstamp as shown in this illustration to the left.
- Occasionally you will find a molders mark on the back of the round serving tray as shown in the illustration to the left. IE “G”.
- Later redesigned versions will have an ink stamp as shown in this illustration to the right.
