It was NOT produced in the following colors – Rose, Apricot, Yellow, Periwinkle Blue, Sea Mist Green, Lilac, Sapphire, Chartreuse, Pearl Gray, Juniper.

  • HLC announced in March 2013 that this item would not be available in White, Black, Plum or Lemongrass.
  • In April 2017, Shamrock and Claret were added to the out of production list.
  • Sage was added to the list in March 2018.
  • Ivory and Slate were add to the list in March 2019.
  • Then Cobalt Blue was added to the list in 2021.
  • In the 8-8-2023 shape sheet FTC notes that this set would only be produced in the following colors – White, Turquoise, Scarlet, Lapis, Daffodil, Peony, and Jade.
  • August 2024 FTC stopped producing this piece in Sunflower, Poppy, Meadow and Twilight.
  • Occasionally you will find a molders mark on the back of the egg plate as shown in this illustration to the left. IE “E”

It was NOT produced in the following colors – Apricot, Yellow, Lilac, Sapphire, Chartreuse, Pearl Gray, Juniper, Heather, and all colors produced after Heather.

  • These were a Betty Crocker exclusive when they were released in 2005. They were later released to the general retailers.

 

  • The illustration to the left shows a 11-1/4” egg plate on top of a 13” egg plate.
  • The pockets for the eggs on the 13” plate measure 2-1/2” long x 1-3/4” wide.
  • The pockets for the eggs on the 11-1/4” plate measure 2” long x 1-1/2” wide.
  • Both trays hold 12 eggs.
  • You can use these to make mini egg shaped cupcakes for Easter or other fun event.

Fun Fact – 

  • At the 2005 HLCCA conference HLC donated two experimental glaze 13″ egg trays to auction.  Both were different colored greens.  
  • I believe one of these trays sold at Strawser Auctions in June 2018 for $425.00 + buyers premium, as illustrated on the left. (Photo courtesy of Strawser Auctions)
  • I have since discovered that there were two trays also glazed like these but in a purple glaze (H-14069-1), as illustrated on the right.  (Photo courtesy of Denyse Wentland)

Another Fun Fact – 

  • There are know 11-1/4″ egg trays glazed in the Aqua glaze from FTC’s Terrace dinnerware line.
