  • Clear glaze and Chocolate 12” trays were produced in very limited quantities. Clear glazed is achieved when instead of applying a color glaze, HLC will sometimes apply clear glaze to the bisque piece to obtain more of a natural/neutral look.
  • Foundry 12” trays were added to the line in 2016.
  • HLC took Sage 12” trays out of production in March 2018.
  • When HLC introduced this piece, it was referenced as a “small pizza plate 12”. With the introduction of the new “Bakeware” line, the name changed to “Baking/Pizza Tray 12” on the Lemongrass/Chocolate shape sheet in 2009.
  • HLC used this tray as part of the cake plate and server set (0819).
  • HLC suggest using this tray with their 5-piece entertaining set (1469).
  • August 2024 FTC stopped producing this tray in Sunflower, Poppy, Meadow and Twilight.

  • The illustration to the right shows the difference between the 12” baking/pizza tray (front) and the 15” baking/pizza tray (back).

  • At the 2022 FTC tent sale, Pedestal Cake Plates were sold as 12″ pizza trays.
  • In the illustration to the left, note the double foot on the Twilight tray base (left) vs the single outer foot on the 12″ pizza tray (right).

  • HLC has also referenced this tray as a pizza plate 15″.
  • April 2017, HLC took Shamrock and Claret out of production.
  • The illustration to the left shows you how the rim on the Marigold baking/pizza 12” tray (right) and the Lapis baking/pizza 15” tray (left) are different.
  • In 2005, HLC made a mistake during the production of 15” trays. While glazing Seamist trays, the area inside the dry foot accidently got sprayed with Turquoise glaze as shown in the illustration to the right. (Photo courtesy of Denyse Wentland)
