Produced in the following colors – White, Black, Cobalt Blue, Turquoise, Cinnabar, Sunflower, Plum, Shamrock, Tangerine, Scarlet, Peacock, Heather, Evergreen, Ivory, Chocolate, Lemongrass, Paprika, Marigold, Flamingo, Lapis, Poppy, Slate, Sage, Daffodil, Mulberry, Meadow, Butterscotch.

It was NOT produced in the following colors – Rose, Apricot, Yellow, Periwinkle Blue, Sea Mist Green, Lilac, Sapphire, Chartreuse, Pearl Gray, Juniper, Claret, Foundry, Twilight and all colors produced after Twilight.

These canisters were produced at The Hall China Company, which The Homer Laughlin China Company bought in 2010.
When the canisters were introduced in 2004, they were sold as a 3-piece solid color set as an exclusive to Betty Crocker’s mail-order catalog.
When Betty Crocker closed in 2006, the 3-piece solid sets were discontinued.
HLC announced that effective December 2013 that these pieces would not be available in White, Black or Plum.
In April 2017, HLC added Shamrock to the out of production list.
Claret canisters are known to exist.

The lids have a rubber seal which helps keep it airtight as shown in the illustration to the left.

Fun Fact –

Some collectors expand their canister sets by adding a tumbler with a sugar bowl lid. The illustration to the right shows a Chartreuse tumbler with an individual sugar bowl lid (right), a Scarlet tumbler with a figure 8 sugar bowl lid (left) and a Marigold jam / utility jar / mini canister (center).
Sometime in 2024 FTC changed the name of the jam/utility jar to mini canister.

In the 8-8-2023 shape sheet FTC notes that these canisters would only be produced in the following colors – White, Turquoise, Scarlet, Lapis, Daffodil, Peony, and Jade.
With the introduction of Sky in 2024, it was added to the production line up making 8 colors available.
