  • The base of this set (square tray with handles and hole) was produced at The Hall China Company, which The Homer Laughlin China Company bought in 2010. The other two plates were produced at HLC.

  • Occasionally you will find a molders mark on the back of the base tray as shown in the illustration to the right. IE “Ә”.
  • The base tray is the only piece that has the embossed backstamp.
  • Each of the three pieces that make up this set are also made without the hole in the center. You can find more information about these pieces on their specific pages.

  • The luncheon and salad plate size trays are not marked with any type of backstamp as shown in the illustration to the left.

  • Cuthbertson Imports, a wholesaler for Fiesta®, produced two-tiered tidbit trays using Fiesta® dinner and salad plates, then resold them to independent retailers.
  • Individuals have also made two and three-tiered tidbit trays for aftermarket sales.

  • Occassionally you will find tidbit tray / tiered server made out of the base of the 3 tier server.  (see photo to left)  These were made by individuals who picked up the base tray from the factory outlet store and added the hardaware.

  • Amberstone and Casualstone tidbit trays were produced using the chop plate.
  • Amberstone/Casualstone – measures 12-3/8″ diameter (Casualstone not shown)

  • Vintage 3-tiered sets were not officially produced by HLC but were made by others for aftermarket sales as shown in the illustration to the left.
  • These sets would be made with any of the five vintage size plates.
  • The illustration to the left shows a dinner, salad, bread and butter plate set.
