  • These are made from the original Vintage Fiesta® molds.
  • These are also referred to as “bulb” candleholders.
  • The original production number for the bulb candleholder was 0762. It was later changed to 0488.
  • When this was first released, it was called a round candlestick. The name changed to round candlestick/holder on the Cinnabar December 2000 shape sheet.
  • Lilac round candleholders were sold exclusively through independent retailers, China Specialties and Table Top Direct.
  • Chartreuse round candleholders were sold exclusively through JC Penney’s. HLC drop shipped these for JC Penney’s, and the item number was “0824 (color number) P” (Example 0824117P for a Chartreuse set)
  • Juniper round candleholders were sold exclusively through Dillard’s.
  • Raspberry and Sapphire round candleholders are known to exist.
  • A Sapphire set sold at Strawser Auction in March 2018 for $1500.00.
  • Another Sapphire set sold at Strawser Auction in November 2022 for $1,700.00 + buyers premium.(Photo courtesy of Strawser Auction)
  • With the introduction of Pearl Gray (1999), to help with identifying Post 86 pieces from similar Vintage Fiesta® items, HLC added an embossed “H” as part of the backstamp to certain items. Colors released prior to Pearl Gray (1999) may or may not have the embossed “H” as part of the backstamp. (These would only be the colors that were in production at the time Pearl Gray was introduced.)
  • In the above illustration the one on the left was produced before Pearl Gray and does not have the embossed “H.” The one on the right was produced after the introduction of Pearl Gray and has the embossed “H.”   You may need to click on the photo to enlarge it to see the H.
  • In the illustration to the left, if you look inside a Vintage bulb candleholder (left), you will see that it is completely glazed as it was dipped into the glaze. The Post 86 candleholders (right) will be unglazed as they were sprayed on the outside only.  You may want to click on the photo to get a closer look.
  • The illustration to the right shows how the vintage are a bit larger than the Post 86.

Vintage (center) – measure 3” diameter x 3-3/4” height.
