Pastel Christmas Trees
Pastel Christmas Trees Pattern No. (still researching)
- This design was produced on White Fiesta® for the Mercantile Dept. stores in 1997-1998.
- We are not sure of the actual name that the store called this design, but most collectors call
it Pastel Christmas Trees. - It can be found on the following shapes: ring handle mug (0453), luncheon plate (0465) and jumbo/chili bowl (0098).
- Colors used in this design are Yellow, Rose, Turquoise, Persimmon and Cobalt.
- Thank you to Daphne Durham for the use of her photo.
- Known date code LLC
- Pieces are marked on the bottom with “Exclusively Designed Mercantile Stores Co” (Mercantile stores were bought out by Dillard’s in 1998)
- We heard through the Fiesta® grapevine, that the Mercantile stores ordered the jumbo/chili bowls but never took delivery of them due to Dillard’s buying the company.
- An ad in the Fiesta® Club of American quarterly newsletter (Vol 4 Issue 3 January 4, 1998), shows the below Mercantile stores ad calling the pattern “Fiesta® holiday”
- You can see they only advertised the mug & luncheon for sale as well.
- We are not sure if Mercantile stores submitted this ad or if the FCOA designed the ad for the store chain.
- If anyone has any additional information on this pattern (ie: store sticker, etc) please email us at [email protected]
